MAXAM Tire has added a non-marking version of its MS705 solid skid steer tire to its construction lineup. The new MS705 NM is intended for construction machines that work indoors or on surfaces where tire marks are a concern, according to the company’s announcement, issued from Danvers, Massachusetts, on Sept. 29, 2026.

The MS705 NM pairs the solid build of the existing tire with a non-marking tread compound. MAXAM is aiming it at jobs where finished floors and other sensitive surfaces need to be protected, and says the new version gives customers one more way to match skid steer tires to the conditions on a particular jobsite.

Solid construction, no air to check

Because the tire is solid, it cannot go flat from a puncture or from sidewall damage, and it does not need routine air pressure checks. MAXAM says this helps reduce maintenance. The MS705 NM has a three-stage construction made entirely of rubber, and its aperture sidewall is designed to give a softer ride. A steel ring built into the tire is meant to eliminate wheel slip, and a heat-resistant cushion compound at the center of the tire supports durability in demanding work.

Built on the MS705 Construction Pro

The standard MS705, part of MAXAM’s Construction Pro range, is described on its product page as a premium three-stage solid skid steer tire for severe off-the-road (OTR) and construction applications. Its three layers are an ultra cut-and wear-resistant tread compound, the heat-resistant cushion center and a pure rubber base. MAXAM says the extra-deep tread on the MS705 gives three to five times the life of a pneumatic tire.

The standard line is listed with a self-cleaning R4 traction tread or a smooth tread, with or without the aperture sidewall, in 10-16.5, 12-16.5, 14-17.5 and 15-19.5 sizes. The product page notes that select sizes are also offered in a white non-marking compound. The announcement does not say which sizes, tread patterns or sidewall options the MS705 NM covers, and it does not give pricing or an availability date.
