Kumho Tire driver Jack Shanahan finished third at Round Seven of the Formula DRIFT PRO Championship at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, racing his E82 BMW on KUMHO Ecsta V730 tires, Kumho Tire U.S.A. said in a Sept. 29 announcement. The round marked Formula DRIFT’s return to The Bullring.
The Las Vegas result is Shanahan’s third podium of the season. He finished third at the Streets of Long Beach in the championship opener and second at Round Four in Stafford Springs, Connecticut.

Brother against brother in the Final 4
Shanahan qualified sixth and then beat Jhonnattan Castro in the Top 32, Ryan Tuerck in the Top 16 and Chris Forsberg in the Great 8. In the Final 4 he faced his younger brother, Conor, in a close battle that was decided when Jack dropped two tires off the course in Zone 4.
Despite the narrow loss, Shanahan remains fourth in the Formula DRIFT PRO Championship standings with one round left. The season finale is in Long Beach, California, on Oct. 23–24.
"It's been an exciting season, and I'm proud to have secured another podium finish with the consistent performance of the KUMHO Ecsta V730 tires," said Shanahan. "The team and I are looking forward to carrying this momentum into the final round next month and fight for the Championship podium."
