FALKEN has announced that its AZENIS FK520 summer tire is being supplied as original equipment (OE) for the Audi Q7 and Q9, the automaker's two large SUVs. This is a European-market announcement from Dunlop Tyre Europe GmbH, the company that runs the FALKEN brand in Europe, and the release makes no mention of availability in the United States.
According to FALKEN, the OE tires for these Audi models have carried the "R0" designation since May 2026, so the fitment is listed as AZENIS FK520 (R0). The company says the tire was developed for Audi, approved by the automaker, and is available as an option rather than as standard equipment. Both vehicles are built at Audi's plant in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Sizes
The AZENIS FK520 (R0) comes in three sizes for the Q7 and Q9, covering wheel diameters from 20 to 22 inches. All three are XL (Extra Load) reinforced versions:
275/50 R20 113Y XL
285/45 R21 113Y XL
285/40 R22 110Y XL
Buyers can see the tires fitted to their chosen wheels in the Audi vehicle configurator, along with the EU tire label data sheets.
About the tire
FALKEN describes the AZENIS FK520 as an ultra-high-performance (UHP) tire designed for sporty road vehicles, aimed at drivers who put a premium on stability, precision and safety. The Y speed rating means the tire is approved for speeds of up to 300 km/h (186 mph).
In the release, FALKEN's OE sales lead commented on the Audi fitment:
It is an important step for our original equipment business to fit the Q7 and Q9, two models of great importance to Audi, with the FALKEN AZENIS FK520 (R0) as a factory-fitted option. The choice of our tyres for these Audi models reflects confidence in the performance and quality of FALKEN in this segment.
