The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has announced that its ADVAN Sport V107 tire is now being supplied as original equipment (OE) to Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. for the automaker's new Fairlady Z. The announcement was made from Hiratsuka, Japan, on Oct. 27, 2026.
According to Yokohama, the new Fairlady Z went on sale in Japan in August 2026 after a minor model change. The tire size fitted to the car is 245/45R18 100W. The release talks only about the Japanese launch and does not mention fitment or availability in the United States or other markets.
About the ADVAN Sport V107
The ADVAN Sport V107 is an ultra-high performance tire from the ADVAN line, which Yokohama calls its global flagship tire brand. The company says the tire is aimed at premium car categories and combines driving performance with comfort and safety. Yokohama describes it as delivering a high level of dry and wet performance along with steering stability.
For the Fairlady Z, Yokohama says the tires strike a balance between high-speed handling stability and responsive steering, while also giving a comfortable ride, even though those goals pull in different directions.
The Fairlady Z
The release describes the Fairlady Z as a car that pairs heritage-inspired styling with modern technology, and says it has been praised for its distinctive driving performance. Yokohama adds that the refreshed model builds on that heritage while improving performance.
Part of Yokohama's OE push
Yokohama ties the announcement to its three-year medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), which runs from 2024 to 2026. Under the plan, the consumer tire business aims to raise the share of sales from high-value-added tires. One of the key initiatives is promoting its global flagship ADVAN tires, and its GEOLANDAR tires for SUVs and pickup trucks, as original equipment on new cars.
