The North American Tire and Retread Expo is the tire industry’s largest conference focused on the retread market — and it returns next month.
A spokeswoman for the told us why tire dealers should attend the Expo.
More personalized attention from vendors and exhibitors
Many of the companies exhibiting at the Expo since it began three years ago also exhibit at SEMA; however, there they have to compete for space and your attention with everyone from the aftermarket hard parts industry. At the Tire & Retread Expo, you can get more one-on-one with them. This will allow you to be able to leave the show better informed about tires and retreads than you would at the SEMA Show.
Everything is dedicated to tires and retreads
Unlike bigger shows, every conference and class at the Expo will be dedicated to nothing but the tire industry. There won’t be any presentations about how to upsell customers to performance exhaust or fuel systems; it’s all about tires at the Expo.
The show opens at 9am with conferences, followed by a keynote speaker. The tradeshow itself will be open from 11am until 4pm daily. Keynote speakers include the presidents of TBR and Retread at Bridgestone America, Joseph Saoud, and Cliff Armstrong, from Pirelli Tires, American Industrial Tire Corporation and Robinson’s.
The biggest names in the retread industry will be there
We can’t name any names right now, but the spokeswoman said the biggest names in the retread industry will be there. The show is still a month away and they’re already more than 60 percent booked, with expectations of well over 100 exhibitors to be in attendance.
When and where will the show be?
It will take place April 19-21. The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans will play host to the three-day event. Those wishing to attend should register on the show’s signup page. Space is limited, so if you want to be an exhibitor or vendor at the show, you should buy your booth soon.
