TraXtion, a provider of automated tire and alignment diagnostic systems, has announced new partnerships and software integrations with Kenect, a dealership text messaging and reputation management platform, and Tekmetric, a cloud-based auto repair shop management system.

The integrations link TraXtion's TreadSpec and GrooveSpec inspection hardware directly with the software that dealerships, independent repair shops and tire retailers use every day to write estimates and communicate with drivers.

Tekmetric: scan data into estimates

With the Tekmetric integration, available in Q4, tread-depth measurements and wheel alignment readings captured by TraXtion flow directly into Tekmetric's digital vehicle inspections, repair orders and Tire Suite estimate builder. From one screen, advisors can pull TraXtion's diagnostic data into a repair order, match replacement tires by VIN, present side-by-side tire options to the customer and automate Department of Transportation tire registration.

Kenect: inspection results by text

With the Kenect integration, shared dealership and tire retail customers can push TraXtion's color-coded inspection findings and tire recommendations straight into an active two-way text thread with the vehicle owner. Service teams can answer customer questions in real time, secure work approvals, collect payment via a text link and send automated review requests once the vehicle leaves the bay.

"Tire sellers lose revenue every day because inspection data gets stuck on a clipboard or a customer misses a phone call," said Brad Kokesh, President and CEO of TraXtion. "Shops using Tekmetric can integrate our tread and alignment scans into accurate tire quotes in seconds, and stores using Kenect will immediately see clear visual proof of tire wear and other TraXtion diagnostics into their MPI reports. This means less time re-entering data, faster approvals in the lane and more tire and alignment revenue on every repair order."

TraXtion is demonstrating the connected workflows this week at the SEMA Show, which runs November 3 to 6 in Las Vegas, at booth 41219.

TraXtion serves dealerships, repair facilities and automotive retailers in more than 30 countries.
