OTR Engineered Solutions Launches TrackIQ AI-Assisted Custom Track Design Platform

OTR Engineered Solutions (OTR) has launched TrackIQ, an AI-accelerated platform for custom rubber track design that the company says can shorten a concept design process that once took months to as little as one day. The platform was officially launched at Equip Expo 2026 in Louisville.

TrackIQ combines more than 40 years of OTR engineering expertise with AI technology and customer collaboration to deliver custom rubber track designs for OEMs and distributors.

"With TrackIQ, we are harnessing the power of AI to transform track development into a faster, more collaborative, and customer-focused process," said Patrick Sexton, global vice president of engineering, innovation and quality at OTR Engineered Solutions. "The platform enables us to work with customers in real time, incorporate their aesthetic and performance requirements, and rapidly generate 3D track concepts for immediate review and evaluation."

From concept to physical sample

The platform provides detailed trade-off analyses so OTR engineers and customers can compare tread patterns across key performance criteria, including traction, ride quality, handling and durability. OTR says this helps customers choose a design that balances visual appeal with the performance their application requires.

Once a concept is selected, OTR engineers build a physical 3D representation of the track and supply it to the customer for final sign-off before any commitment to prototype tooling.

Part of a wider AI design toolkit

TrackIQ joins TreadIQ, OTR's AI-assisted tire concept design technology, and OTR3DLab, its large-scale physical prototyping capability, as part of the company's expanding AI-accelerated design and engineering approach. OTR says the combined tools help customers move more efficiently from application-specific requirements to engineered concepts and physical evaluation.

According to OTR, it is currently the first and only company to offer this type of AI-assisted custom track design service.
