Maxam Tire is expanding its forestry portfolio with two new series aimed at skidders, forwarders, and cut-to-length machines: the MS934 and the MS936 TimberXtra. Both lines are positioned for traction, flotation, and durability across varied logging terrain.
MS936 TimberXtra for muddy skidder work
The MS936 TimberXtra is designed for skidders and feller bunchers. Maxam says an aggressive LS2 tread pattern targets muddy conditions with strong traction and flotation, while reinforced construction and an optimized tread profile support stability and durability in severe environments. Lug design and crown profile were also refined for longer wear on skidders.
Upcoming MS936 sizes include 35.5L32 30PR, 67/34.00X25 20PR, and 67/34.00X26 20PR.
MS934 for CTL and over-the-tire tracks
The MS934 is an LS2 cut-to-length logging tire for forwarders and skidders. Its open-center tread pattern is designed to work with forestry over-the-tire track systems. Like other Maxam forestry tires, it uses a nylon-wrapped bead to help prevent bead unwinding. A wider lug shoulder and increased shoulder spacing are intended to improve footprint stability.
