Continental has introduced the Conti Eco HT 5 trailer tire, completing its Conti Eco Generation 5 portfolio for steer, drive, and trailer axles alongside the Conti Eco HS 5 and Conti Eco HD 5.
The trailer tire is aimed at regional and long-haul routes, with Continental emphasizing lower rolling resistance, high mileage, even wear, and consistent performance in varying conditions. Compared with Conti Hybrid HT3+, Conti Eco HT 5 delivers up to a 12% reduction in rolling resistance under Continental’s specified test conditions.
Initial sizes available from September 2026 are 385/65 R 22.5 and 385/55 R 22.5.
“Trailer tires also play an important role in rolling resistance and fuel consumption,” said Hinnerk Kaiser, who leads truck and bus tire development for Continental in the EMEA region. “With the Conti Eco HT 5, we are extending the benefits of our fifth-generation Conti Eco portfolio to the trailer axle and helping fleets improve the efficiency of their transport operations.”
