TraXtion has launched TireSpec, an AI-powered tool that turns a smartphone photo of a tire into an instant replacement quote without an app download, manual tire size entry or leaving a dealership’s, tire retailer’s or repair facility’s website. In its announcement, issued from Irving, Texas, through Business Wire on June 25, 2026, the company calls TireSpec the first solution of its kind available to those businesses that works without additional hardware.

Photo in, quote out

TireSpec embeds directly into an existing automotive retailer’s website. A shopper taps a button, photographs the tire with a smartphone and receives replacement tire recommendations and pricing in seconds. It works on mobile devices, and desktop visitors can reach it via a QR code or a button. Shoppers don’t need to know the vehicle’s trim level, VIN or tire specifications.

Behind the widget, TraXtion uses artificial intelligence, computer vision and proprietary optical character recognition (OCR) to read the sidewall from the photo and identify the tire’s make, model, size and other key sidewall information. The company says TireSpec integrates with leading tire distribution and inventory software platforms for real-time inventory, pricing and product availability, and generates instant single- or multi-tire comparisons. The technology is the subject of two U.S. patent-pending applications.

Keeping shoppers on the dealer’s site

For dealers and independent shops, the pitch is conversion: TraXtion says TireSpec keeps shoppers on the business’s own website, reduces abandonment during the tire buying process, and turns website traffic into qualified tire sales opportunities and service appointments.

Availability

TireSpec is available now to dealerships, tire retailers and automotive repair facilities, which the release directs to TraXtion to get the tool. Pricing was not disclosed. TraXtion, a provider of AI-powered vehicle inspection and tire intelligence technology, serves customers in more than 30 countries. More details are on the company’s TireSpec product page.
