The Tire Industry Association (TIA), in collaboration with its NEXGEN Council, has launched a new Career Toolkit designed to help members promote rewarding career paths within the tire industry. Created specifically for use at career fairs, trade shows, and educational events, the toolkit provides easy-to-use materials to engage students, job seekers, and transitioning professionals.
The initial toolkit includes two downloadable flyers—one highlighting careers in the retail sector and another focused on commercial tire service. These flyers offer a snapshot of the many roles available and emphasize the value, stability, and growth potential the tire industry offers.
“We created the NEXGEN Council to ensure the next generation of tire professionals has the tools, guidance, and inspiration they need to thrive in this industry,” said Debra Hamlin, TIA President. “This Career Toolkit is a major step toward showing just how diverse, dynamic, and full of opportunity the tire industry really is.”
The toolkit is designed to evolve. The Council will continue expanding the resource to include additional industry segments such as OTR, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and more. Future updates will feature new flyers and video testimonials to help TIA members showcase the full scope of the industry at local and national events.
“This toolkit is just the beginning,” added Dick Gust, CEO of TIA. “We’re committed to providing our members with the resources they need to recruit, educate, and inspire the next wave of talent entering the workforce.”
The TIA Career Toolkit is now available online at: https://www.tireindustry.org/resources/resources/career-fair-toolkit/.
