Employees of TBC Corporation took part in volunteer projects for United Way Worldwide and the American Cancer Society’s Road To Recovery® program during the company’s annual Week of Action, held Sept. 21–25. Staff at TBC’s Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, headquarters and roughly 100 distribution centers across the U.S. joined the effort.

The Week of Action invites TBC’s nearly 3,000 employees to volunteer with organizations in their local communities. The company said employees have logged more than 2,000 volunteer hours since the program began in 2024.

“Giving back to the planet and making an impact in the communities in which we live and work is a core part of our vision,” said Ron Harper, chief supply chain officer of TBC Corporation. “Our Week of Action reflects our commitment to doing right by our communities in meaningful and tangible ways.”

Hygiene kits and patient rides

At its U.S. sites, TBC employees put together hygiene kits containing items such as toothpaste, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, combs and deodorant. The kits were donated to local United Way organizations to help individuals and families in need.

Employees also wrote personal notes to patients who use Road To Recovery, which gives people free rides to cancer-related medical appointments. TBC said its support of the program has made 500 free rides available to patients.

Volunteering in Mexico in October

In October, employees at TBC’s San Luis Potosi site in Mexico will volunteer with Fondo Potosino and Colonia Juvenil, two organizations that support people in need through programming, civic engagement and social support. TBC staff will join program members for mentorship and team-building activities.
