Hankook Tire announce it will temporary suspend production at its Clarksville, Tennessee plant from March 30 to April 12. The company decided to temporarily shutdown operations to protect the healthy and safety of its employees amids the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Hankook will continue to monitor the situation and make necessary adjustments to protect its employees and stakeholders in accordance with CDC guidelines, state or local restrictions, supplier constraints and dealer stock requirements.

Hankook’s U.S. warehouses, including the one located at the Tennessee Plant will continue to operate. Hankook plants in Asia will support the U.S. region, if necessary, by providing production assistance, shipment and supply of raw materials. Hankook does not anticipate any interruption in sales.

Hankook’s first priority is keeping its employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company will continue to follow all federal, state and local guidelines as the situation continues to develop. Hankook will continue to work together to keep employees and stakeholders healthy and safe.
