What does ATG’s new truck tire brand mean for dealers?

Alliance Tire Group launched a new truck tire brand in the U.S. this week.

Called Constellation, the release includes 50 medium radial truck tires covering drive, steer and trailer positions, to suit long haul, regional and mixed service applications. There are 13 tread patterns in all. Several tires in the new range are SmartWay verified.

A ‘highly competitive’ truck tire line

Alliance Tire Americas’ national truck tire sales manager John Hull said the brand would be “an ideal complement to ATG’s more established Alliance, Galaxy and Primex lines of off-the-road (OTR) tires.

“Basically, we’ve taken the industry’s best farm and OTR selection and added a great new truck brand to it,” he said. “Constellation gives our dealers a new, highly competitive truck line to offer customers who already understand the performance and value of ATG’s core brands, whether it’s Alliance farm tires, Galaxy tires for skid steer and construction equipment, or Primex forestry tires.

“For the dealer, it’s one-stop shopping with a company they trust, the chance to source container-direct or through one of ATG’s five U.S. warehouses, and a margin they can make a living on,” Hull adds. “For the end user, Constellation delivers excellent performance backed by ATG, great reliability and outstanding value.”

How does the brand stack up?

Hull said the Constellation brand offered “world-class quality”, with quality testing revealing casing strengths of 150 percent of Department of Transportation standards and endurances at nearly three times DOT standard.

“Constellation truck tires are warrantied for five-year casing life or two retreads, whichever comes first,” he said. “These are highly reliable tires, and we have designed and priced them to deliver great return on investment to the owner-operator or fleet owner.”

The tires are manufactured in Thailand in a DOT Certified plant.
