Bridgestone Americas (Bridgestone) today announced that professional race car driver Tom O’Gorman placed first in the F Street class at the 51st Tire Rack SCCA® Solo® National Championship on Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires, which concluded Sept. 6, 2024, at Lincoln Airpark in Lincoln, Nebraska. O’Gorman raced a 2022 Chevrolet Camaro equipped with Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires and wrapped in a special Bridgestone livery, marking his sixth national championship. O’Gorman, who is a Bridgestone ambassador, also placed second in PAX for run days at the event.
In addition to O’Gorman, 19 drivers won national championships across 40 open classes on Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires at the event—the most championships of any 200TW tire manufacturer this year. Class wins include Super Street, B Street, B Street Ladies, C Street, C Street Ladies, D Street, D Street Ladies, E Street Ladies, F Street, F Street Ladies, G Street, H Street, Street Touring Hatch, Street Touring Hatch Ladies, Street Touring Ultra, Classic American Muscle Contemporary (CAM-C), Xtreme Street A Ladies, Xtreme Street B and Electric Vehicle X (EVX).

O'Gorman also helped take Rockwell Autosport Development to the 2023 ChampCar Endurance National Championship on Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires.
The Tire Rack SCCA® Solo® National Championships is a four-day autocross and shootout competition hosted by the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). The SCCA is a non-profit organization that sanctions motorsports events and supports amateur and professional racers in the United States.
