Next-generation winter tire delivers 5% better snow grip and 15% longer mileage than previous Hankook product.

Leading global tire manufacturer Hankook Tire is expanding its winter product portfolio with the launch of the new Winter i*cept evo 4. Engineered for winter safety and fuel efficiency, the latest in Hankook’s Alpine winter lineup brings snow-gripping confidence for sedans and SUVs.

Designed for passenger cars and SUVs, the new studless winter tires deliver improved performance across snow-covered and wet roads while offering lower rolling resistance and longer mileage.

“Drivers need tires that provide dependable control throughout the winter season,” said KC Jensen, Vice President of PC/LT Sales. “The Winter i*cept evo 4 combines stronger snow traction, enhanced wet braking, and improved efficiency to help drivers navigate changing winter road conditions with confidence.”

The next-generation Winter i*cept evo 4 builds on Hankook Tire’s proven Alpine winter technology, featuring advancements that enhance traction, braking, efficiency, and tire longevity even in the harshest winter conditions. Key performance benefits include:

Improved snow performance: Wider lateral grooves and semi-sipe technology to offer peak performance refined for snow, which results in 5% improved snow grip compared to previous model.
Enhanced wet-road control: Balanced grip compound and superior hydroplaning resistance for wet-braking performance.
Greater efficiency and longer mileage: Optimized curing process and a balanced wear design for improved fuel efficiency and longer mileage.
A quieter, more comfortable ride: Hankook Tire’s tread design and tire technology help minimize road and impact noise caused by sudden braking and steering.

In addition, all of Hankook’s winter tires come with a 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake rating, certifying they meet severe snow service standards and have surpassed the thresholds for snow acceleration traction.

As a studless tire, Winter i*cept Evo 4 joins a comprehensive winter lineup. The premium studless Winter i*cept iZ3 is tailored for passenger cars, while the Winter i*cept iZ3 X is engineered for SUVs and crossovers. For those seeking studded options, the Winter i*Pike RS2 is designed for passenger cars—including sedans, coupes, hatchbacks, and some smaller crossovers depending on tire size—while the Winter i*Pike X meets the demands of SUVs, crossovers, and light trucks.

The Winter i*cept evo 4 is backed by Hankook’s SureTire Plan, featuring an impressive 30,000-mile treadwear warranty—a testament to Hankook Tire’s confidence in the product’s durability and performance. Customers also benefit from a 30-day free trial, limited warranty, and road hazard
protection—subject to applicable terms and conditions.

For tire dealers, the Winter i*cept evo 4 and Winter i*cept evo 4 SUV are available to order now in 37
SKUs and 45 SKUs, respectively. These new tires will be available for consumers to purchase later this fall.
