New feature leverages market data to help tire and auto shops stay competitive with big-box stores and chains through custom pricing strategies.

Tire Guru, a leading provider of software and websites for auto repair shops and tire stores, recently announced its new “Tire Price Optimizer,” a tool that ensures tire and auto shops have a competitive edge in the local market through data-driven, real-time price optimization.

Making its debut at the SEMA aftermarket mega show next month, Tire Guru’s price optimization tool leverages real-time local market pricing data to price inventory according to profit goals – all right within the shop management system. The data, powered by Fitment Group, takes the guesswork out of pricing to give shops an advantage and help them maximize profits.

“Auto shops don’t want to make assumptions that their pricing is on target, and they don’t want to rely on hope that they’re making the most profit possible,” said Cavan Robinson, Vice President of the aftermarket division of Vehlo, parent company of Tire Guru. “This powerful feature uses actionable data to help shops eliminate the uncertainty around inventory pricing and feel confident in their tire pricing against competitors of all sizes.”

Shop owners will enjoy the features and benefits of Tire Price Optimizer that include:

Price rankings against local competitors
Price view of inventory priced below market
At-a-glance calculation of potential profit based on pricing
Recommendations on pricing strategy and optimization
Seamless integration within the shop management system
Simple, easy-to-use interface and quick inventory pricing adjustments

Robinson added: “We’ve heard from auto and tire shop owners that when a big-box or chain store comes to town, they feel they must give up margin. But with the right insights and pricing, shops can go up against any competitor, regardless of size. We’re proud to offer this intelligence tool within Tire Guru as part of our commitment to empowering the auto aftermarket business.”
