Donation Supports the Education, Professional Development and Advancement of Women in the Automotive Aftermarket

Synchrony, a premier consumer financial services company, have recently announced a $25,000 donation to Women in Auto Care, a community of the Auto Care Association. This contribution aligns with Synchrony's Education as an Equalizer program and aims to support women in the automotive aftermarket industry.

Synchrony’s donation will fund professional development and the purchase of essential tools for women entering or advancing in the auto care sector. Now in its 20th year, Women in Auto Care has distributed numerous awards to aspiring automotive professionals, including cash scholarships and toolkits, offering a powerful investment in the empowerment of women in the industry.

The donation will support various initiatives, including:

Professional development scholarships: Providing women with opportunities for ongoing learning and skill enhancement.
Funding for essential industry tools: Helping women acquire the necessary equipment to start or advance their careers in auto care.
Educational programs and training: Supporting programs that provide women with the knowledge and expertise needed to succeed in the industry.

“Synchrony supports Women in Auto Care’s mission to engage, educate, and empower women within the auto care industry,” said Patrice Boone, senior vice president and CMO of Synchrony’s Home & Auto platform. “The Women in Auto Care community provides invaluable opportunities, education, and career leadership to women, which aligns with our commitment to promote educational opportunities.”

“Synchrony’s donation is a crucial step in helping us break down barriers for women seeking to enter and thrive in the auto care sector,” said Missy Stephens, manager, community engagement, Auto Care Association. “These funds will directly address the challenges many women in the industry face by providing access to the resources and education needed to succeed.”
