Mickey Thompson adds sizes to ET Street and Deegan 38

Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels has added four new sizes to its Deegan 38 tire line and 12 additional sizes to its popular ET Street range.

Four new Deegan 38 sizes released

The Deegan 38 range — named for racing icon Brian Deegan and developed with his input — is now available in sizes LT265/75R16, LT285/75R16, LT265/70R17 and LT285/70R17. The additional sizes bring the Deegan 38 line to 17 sizes.

The tread comprises Mickey Thompson's proven compound and is designed to handle water, mud and rocky terrains. The center tread elements deliver better grip, even wear and a quieter ride, and stone ejector ribs resist dirt and mud. The sidewall features high tensile body ply cord for increased sidewall integrity and reduced rolling resistance.

Mickey Thompson vice-president of marketing Ken Warner said the mud-terrain tire was designed to deliver “aggressive performance, respectable street manners and impressive style.”

“We’ve expanded this exceptional tire line to include the most popular 16- and 17-inch fitments for today's light truck, Jeep and SUV enthusiasts,” Warner said. “This tire delivers a great combination of aggressive style and performance with long tread life and responsive handling on uneven terrain.”

A dozen new ET Street S/S sizes released

The popular ET Street S/S line has also been expanded with Mickey Thompson releasing 12 new sizes earlier this week. The ET Street range is now available in a range of eighteen 15- to 20-inch sizes.

The ET Street S/S is a drag-strip-ready performance radial street tire that combines Mickey Thompson’s R2 drag tire compound with polyester-ply, steel belted, tubeless radial construction to deliver dry-traction performance, strength and reliability.

Approved for street use by the U.S. Department of Transportation, the tire is recommended for dry traction.

Mickey Thompson product development manager Jason Moulton said the ET Street S/S is “a truly incredible street performance tire that looks fantastic and is ready for the drag strip on the weekend.”
