Alliance Tire Americas Inc. has become the latest tire company to increase its prices.

From April 1 base prices on all OTR and commercial products will increase by approximately eight percent due to escalating costs of raw materials. The specific changes will vary depending on the product line and segment.

ATA president James Clark said: “ATA is committed to making sure that our customers are receiving high-quality, application-specific, purpose-built tires at the most economical costs possible. Due to the significant increases in the cost of natural rubber and other raw materials used in tire production, we are required to increase our prices at this time.”

ATG trading Memphis for Savannah

The price increase comes as Alliance Tire Group (ATG) opened a new warehouse in Savannah, Georgia.

ATG2 — The new ATG warehouse stores Alliance, Galaxy, Primex and Constellation brands.

The company built a state-of-the-art, 202,000-square-foot facility to permit high- efficiency operation.

Vice president of operations at ATA, John Mancinelli, said: “Our new location is ideally situated near the Port of Savannah and is also close to major OE and replacement tire customers.”

“With our new location, streamlined systems and configurable layout, we will be able to get tires to our customers more quickly and efficiently than ever.”

The ATG Savannah warehouse replaces ATA’s Memphis warehouse, which will close this year.
