Canada’s GO Wheels and Parts expanding into U.S.

A Canadian company that designs, manufactures and imports luxury alloy wheels has opened its first distribution warehouse in the U.S.

DAI Wheels, trading under GO Wheels and Parts in the U.S., has been in business in Canada for more than three decades and has nine warehouses throughout the country. Its first U.S. enterprise, in Keene, New Hampshire, opened for business on May 4.

GO Wheels and Parts will supply a wide variety of custom wheels and have an online ordering system and next-day delivery to Northeast customers. It will stock DAI Wheels’ brands, including DAI Alloys, Ruffino Luxury Alloy Wheels, Ruffino Hard Alloys, 720Form, Art Replica Wheels and PF Wheels.

GO Wheels and Parts U.S. account manager Bob Hazard is at the helm, managing the company’s sales and distribution across the United States.

“I am extremely excited about this opportunity to bring a new line of wheels to the U.S.,” Hazard said. “With nearly 30 years in the B2B custom wheel industry, I have never been this excited. So far, everything I have seen about this company is first class. Everyone involved is passionate about the wheel business.”

Moving into America

Hazard said expansion into the U.S. had “been on the cards” for a while, but DAI Wheels has been waiting for just the right time. Opening a warehouse made sense in order to avoid lengthy and costly customs’ transactions and enable U.S.-to-U.S. shipping. DAI Wheels now has a firm distribution network in place in the Northeast. There are already plans for further American expansion.

“The main driving reason was the success of the company in Canada and the size of the marketplace in the U.S.,” Hazard said.

“This is the tip of the iceberg; there will be several other company-owned warehouses throughout the U.S., although when and where exactly, I don’t know yet. We want to run before we can walk but we will be opening more of our own warehouses, whether that’s something brand new and we recruit or through acquisitions.”

With just a few major competitors in the 300 million dollar aftermarket and custom wheel industry in the U.S., Hazard is confident GO Wheels and Parts has what it takes to make a big impact.

“I’m certain we can. It’s early days, but the response so far has been excellent and we’re really excited for the future.”
