Expanded RC Series brings together RC tire changers and new RC 450 and RC 550 wheel balancers for shops ready to grow tire service with the space and setup they already have

Coats has announced the relaunch of its RC Series, expanding the lineup to pair existing RC tire changers with the new RC 450 and RC 550 wheel balancers. The updated RC Series is built for general repair shops that service passenger cars and light trucks with common OEM fitments, as well as tire dealers looking for dependable additional capacity during seasonal rushes.

The RC Series is a core-focused entry point to Coats' tire service equipment, built with the same durability and ease of use customers have come to expect from Coats. It gives shops the core tire-changing and balancing capabilities they need to handle everyday tire repairs, rotations, balancing and new tire sales without overbuilding their bay or changing their setup.

“The RC Series is for shops that want to say yes to more everyday tire service work,” said Kevin Keefe, Director of Marketing at Coats. “It gives general repair shops and tire dealers a dependable tire changer and balancer pair that fits how they work, supports the fitments they see most often and gives them the confidence of Coats behind it.”

The new RC 450 and RC 550 wheel balancers replace the 1185 and 885 space-saving balancer line, but the relaunched RC Series is more than a replacement. It brings tire changing and wheel balancing together under one lineup, giving shops a matched setup built around ease of use, serviceability and practical day-to-day capability.

RC tire changers remain part of the lineup and now feature a new modernized look. Built on proven Coats rim clamp and swing arm designs, the RC tire changers give technicians familiar operation for standard tire service. The new RC 450 and RC 550 balancers bring feature-rich 115V balancing capability to the same series, helping technicians move from tire changing to balancing in one connected workflow.

As shop needs change, many Coats accessories can be added to increase fitment capability and help the equipment do more over time. The RC Series is also supported by Coats Connect, giving shops access to factory-trained service technicians, OEM parts and product support to help keep equipment running and work moving.

For general repair shops, the RC Series creates a clear path to grow tire service revenue using the power source, space and workflow already in place. For tire dealers, the RC Series provides a dependable way to add capacity when seasonal demand increases.

“The strength of the relaunched RC Series is the pairing,” said Kyle Harris, Sr. Product Manager at Coats. “A tire changer and balancer should work together as part of the same process. RC gives shops that connection in a way that is straightforward, serviceable and built around the tire work they handle every day.”

With the addition of the RC 450 and RC 550 wheel balancers, Coats is positioning the RC Series as a right-sized tire service solution for shops ready to grow. The lineup brings together familiar tire changing, precise wheel balancing and Coats support to help shops keep work moving.
