Atturo expands its range of knife-inspired tires

Atturo Tire has once again expanded its popular Trail Blade X/T range of SUV and light truck tires.

The tire company has broadened the Trail Blade X/T Urban All-Terrain range in response to market demand for expanded fitments for a variety of applications.

The company said this week that includes demand for original equipment replacement sizes “where the owner wants a more aggressive tread pattern, larger wheel diameter fitments targeted at SUV’s and trucks, plus the growing segment of crossover vehicles looking for a higher-traction and off-road style tire.”

Tire patterns in Atturo’s Trail Blade range are based on the distinctive knife designs of Texas-based Quartermaster Knives.

Unique style and a variety of fitments

Atturo president Michael Mathis said: “The unique style and wide variety of fitments (of the Trail Blade) open new opportunities for drivers to add a trail-capable tire with civil road manners to an expanded base of vehicles.”

“From the lifted F150, to a lowered Suburban or an over-landing Subaru, the number of new applications for the Trail Blade X/T is growing broader.

“Like Atturo’s previous expansion of the Trail Blade X/T line, initial dealer and consumer response indicates a strong demand for this style of tire in these sizes.”

The Trail Blade X/T features the sidewall and shoulder tread of a mud terrain tire and, yet again, it has been designed in partnership with Quartermaster Knives. The sidewall treads and first shoulder blocks are patterned after the QTR-3 knife blade and handle.

Mathis said Atturo’s design relationship with Quartermaster is now a two-way street, with the knife designer creating an Atturo-themed model of the QTR-3 to complement the tire.

Twelve new Trail Blade sizes available

Atturo says all light-truck-rated sizes utilize a full three-ply sidewall for added durability.
“The center tread is a highway-friendly multi-block pattern, angled and featuring sipes to improve wet traction, handling response, and reduce road noise, while still retaining trail and light off-road capability,” the company claims.
