No matter what type of business you run, you are likely aware that utilizing the right marketing strategies is a must to ensure success. If you are searching for ways to increase foot traffic to your car repair business, consider some of the marketing tips found below.

Create a Blog

Today, this is one of the first things your business should do regarding marketing efforts. Believe it or not, creating a blog and utilizing the right automotive SEO will pay off and provide you with a lot more interest and traffic.

You can create a blog on your own or have a professional handle this for you. One of the best parts of having a blog for your repair service is taking pictures of the vehicles that come to your shop and the repairs you make. You can even create a description of what you did to fix them.

Creating posts like this will help you accomplish two things. It will help you rank on Google for specific keywords related to your location and auto repair. It is also going to let you build a small following of people in the local area.

Use Social Media

Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other social media platforms can help you grow your business, as well. Once you create a blog, it’s a good idea to create a page on these social media platforms, too.

After you create your profile, be sure you share auto repair posts from your blog. Doing this will help you reach a much larger audience in the area and give you a way to interact with people who may have questions. Social media is the best way to build a loyal following for your car repair business.

Create an Email Newsletter

Create a dedicated email account for your business. Once made, link it to your social media pages and blog. You can get people to sign up to receive emails by offering something free, like an oil change. Once you have their contact information, you can create weekly or monthly newsletters to send with news, freebies, and more.

Checkup or Oil Change Reminder

Be sure you are investing in your existing customers by sending reminders and emailing them about when to have their cars checked or oil changed. You can even use some services that will automatically send emails and updates to clients. With this, you can create one email and then a timer to send it at the appropriate time to the right person.

Use Online Review Sites and Directories

Make sure that you ask your customers to leave a review for your business on a review site or directory. Every positive review you receive is invaluable and can help create buzz around your business.

Follow Up with Former Clients

While online marketing can be extremely effective at increasing your current clientele, you should also focus on traditional marketing efforts. If you have customers who have not come in for a while, be sure to call them and make sure everything is going well. You can also offer a free checkup the next time they visit your shop.

Send Out Holiday Cards to Your Clients

The holidays are a great time to bring people together and remind your customers that you are there. Be sure they know you are open and can help with any type of auto repair issue they have. You can even create a funny holiday card to encourage people to come in and see you during the season.

As you can see from the information above, there are more than a few ways you can get more business to come to your auto repair shop. Be sure to keep the tips and information here in mind, which will help you do this effectively. While there is no magic formula, combining the right strategies will pay off and help you see an uptick in business.
