Strength, stability and a long lifecycle: MULTIMAX MP 527 is a highly versatile tire for telehandlers, backhoe loaders and compact loaders

Balkrishna Industries Ltd., a global leader in Off-Highway tires, has a multi-purpose solution specifically designed for compact equipment such as wheel loaders, backhoe loaders and telehandlers facing diverse challenges in construction and agri-industrial applications. MULTIMAX MP 527 is BKT Tires’ response to the demands of complex environments–typically characterized by heavy loads, a high center of gravity, rough terrains, narrow maneuvering spaces–where reliable, versatile, and adaptable tires are essential.

Compact equipment operates across a wide range of surfaces, such as asphalt, paved roads, yards, crushed rubble, grassland, stubble fields, sand, and loose soils. MULTIMAX MP 527 is the ultimate solution by BKT Tires that ensures reliable performance on multiple hard and firm surfaces: the unidirectional block pattern delivers effective traction for pushing and loading operations, while the overlapping blocks provide excellent operator comfort.

Maneuvering is a fundamental part of daily operations for compact loaders or telehandlers, especially where frequent directional changes are the norm: this requires a wear-resistant compound and tread pattern, and BKT Tires’ solution addresses these specific needs. Examples of the BKT MULTIMAX MP 527 reaching over 4.000 hours in service are not rare. Moreover, for loading and lifting operations, efficiency and stability are equally essential: the heavy-duty carcass featuring a reinforced sidewall ensures this can be safely achieved.

Once again, BKT Tires provides a solution tailored to end-users’ specific needs. Willem-Jan Straatman, Product Manager Agricultural and Construction Tires, BKT states: “Telehandlers have been gaining popularity in the farming sector due to their versatility, and this is the core strength of this type of equipment. Our tires for this segment follow the same philosophy: we don’t seek just a product for many applications; we strive for the right product that excels in every application, leveraging some key aspects like strength and stability. With MULTIMAX MP 527, we have developed a tire that provides high performance on any kind of firm or hard surface. Whether on the farmyard, on a stubble field, or on a biogas plant, this solution delivers the best in each setting.”

The specially developed tread compound provides a long service life across all types of applications no matter how hard or rough the surface. In particular, BKT engineering has addressed the challenges of operating on crushed rubble, gravel, pebbles, and other rough terrain, resulting in a highly cut-and-chip-resistant rubber formulation.

In a nutshell, choosing MULTIMAX MP 527 is a sound investment by pairing a high-performing, versatile tire with the smart equipment it is designed to serve.
