Nexen N’blue best performer says top German auto mag

Nexen Tire’s N’blue HD Plus 195/65 R15 91V has been named “Test Winner” by influential German auto magazine ACE Lenkrad.

ACE Lenkrad recently published the results of its annual summer tire test, which included 10 models of tires from various manufacturers. Nexen Tire’s N’blue HD Plus topped the list and was named number one for overall performance, with Hankook Tire’s Kinergy Eco K425 and Pneumant’s Summer HP4 tied in second place.

Nexen’s performance-driven technology highly regarded

A spokesman for Nexen Tire said the award proved the company’s products and performance-driven technology were “highly regarded.”

“We expect that this result will add further proof that the N’blue HD Plus is an ideal choice for more global car manufacturers and consumers,” he said. “We will continue to provide products that satisfy both the quality and pricing needs of our customers by advancing our technology to the next level of excellence.”

The N’blue HD Plus received the highest overall score of 152 out of 190 and scored highest for wet braking, with 63 out of 80. According to Nexen, the HD Plus is a tire with “better wet grip, rolling resistance and noise performance.”

In 2015 its predecessor, the N’blue HD, received a “Very Recommendable” rating for its performance in tests conducted by German auto magazine Autobild. It also was awarded a special mention in the German Design Awards.

N’blue delivers better fuel efficiency

Nexen says the next generation N’blue has even better fuel efficiency, with 5 percent more mileage compared to its predecessor.

Nexen Tire, one of the world’s fastest-growing tire manufacturers, works with 491 dealers in 141 countries around the world. In October 2015, the company started construction of a new tire manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic, which will feature advanced automation systems and environmentally friendly technologies. Commercial operation is planned to start in 2018.
