The 2025 SEMA Show has officially opened at the Las Vegas Convention Center, reinforcing its position as the automotive aftermarket’s most influential global business event. Produced by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), the Show serves as a launchpad for innovation, partnerships, and growth in an industry that contributes $337 billion annually to the U.S. economy and supports more than 1.3 million jobs.

The Show officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by key leaders, including SEMA President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mike Spagnola, National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) President Glen Cromwell, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) CEO/President Steve Hill, Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, First Congressional District of Nevada Rep. Dina Titus, and SEMA Board Chair Melanie White. Their presence underscores the Show’s global significance and its status as Las Vegas’ longest-running citywide event.

“The SEMA Show stands as the global hub for automotive innovation and commerce,” said Spagnola. “It brings together leaders and visionaries to shape strategies that will define the future of mobility and aftermarket growth worldwide.”

Why It Matters

As technology accelerates and consumer preferences shift, the SEMA Show provides clarity and confidence for businesses navigating change. From propulsion diversity -- ICE, EV, hydrogen, hybrid, and synthetic fuels -- to advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and immersive experiences, the Show reflects an industry innovating for the future.

With consumer spending on aftermarket accessories reaching $52.65 billion in 2024, the Show underscores the strength of a sector that continues to thrive and expand globally.

“Every year, the SEMA Show introduces technologies and ideas that transform the automotive landscape,” said SEMA Vice President of Events Tom Gattuso. “From ADAS solutions to alternative propulsion and performance builds, innovation here drives progress across the entire aftermarket.”
