Targeting RE markets in Latin America and Asia-Pacific with product proven in Europe and OE sales

NEXEN TIRE, a leading global tire manufacturer, announced the launch of its high- performance summer tire the N’BLUE S in Latin America and Asia-Pacific, as it accelerates its expansion in the global replacement (RE) market. Following its success in Europe, the company is now introducing the product to emerging markets to diversify its revenue base and support long-term growth.

The new markets include Colombia, Brazil and Mexico in Latin America and Malaysia and Australia in Asia-Pacific. These regions show stable demand for summer tires due to their warm climates and relatively low seasonal variation, and NEXEN TIRE’s N’BLUE S is made for exactly these conditions.

The N’BLUE S is a high-performance summer tire designed with an optimized contact patch structure that reduces rolling resistance for better efficiency and improved handling. It is made from a multifunctional compound with evenly dispersed materials to enhance wet grip, ensuring stable driving on wet roads.

The newly launched N’BLUE S also carries NEXEN TIRE’s proprietary EV ROOT mark. This designation is granted to products engineered to deliver optimal performance across internal combustion engine, hybrid, and electric vehicles. As electrification accelerates globally, the company expects to broaden its sales base by offering a single product suitable for vehicles across diverse powertrains.

The N’BLUE S’s performance has already been proven in both the European replacement market and original equipment (OE) sales. It has been supplied as OE for European models as well as electric vehicles such as the Hyundai Casper EV, Kia Niro and PV5. NEXEN TIRE aims to build on the product’s proven competitiveness with global automakers by expanding consumer touchpoints through broader penetration into the replacement market.

“The N’BLUE S represents a key strategic model for the company, upgrading its existing summer lineup while extending OE-proven technology into the replacement market,” said John Bosco (Hyeon Suk) Kim, CEO of NEXEN TIRE. “To reinforce our global revenue base, we plan to gradually expand our presence in regions with stable year-round demand for summer tires.”
