AGRIMAX tires by BKT support the high quality and environmental standards of BG Agro's farming practices in Bulgaria

For nearly two decades, BG Agro Company farm has been dedicated to the agricultural development of over 100,000 hectares of land across 30 locations in northeastern Bulgaria. Among these, the small village of Gorotsvet stands out, where daily life is dominated by the rhythms of nature and farming traditions. It is a place where local businesses’ main mission is to preserve these values to improve the quality of life and the business environment for those who care about their region.

This is also BG Agro’s founding objective, since the company has been committed ever since to fostering full development and supporting the local people’s and its employees’ accomplishments. Land, people, and community are, indeed, the three values that make BG Agro a company with a strong focus on sustainability. Its cultivation processes follow high standards and respect the environment. The company is renowned throughout the country as a reliable business partner, who looks towards the future with great ambitions.

BG Agro also champions innovation: it employs precision farming technologies for sowing, fertilization, and irrigation practices; navigation and fleet management systems are used to optimize the distribution of fertilizers and preparations; while minimum tillage is favored to preserve soil health and prevent erosion in the long run.

All this can only be achieved by choosing the best solutions for one’s equipment, starting with the one thing that connects machinery and soil: tires. Drawing on its experience, BG Agro has seen in BKT a company that, in addition to sharing the same principles of sustainability and innovation, provides high-quality, high-performance, and soil-friendly solutions, and is today a major player in the industry.

"From the very beginning, we realized the advantages of BKT tires, especially in terms of comfort, smooth operations, and overall stability. In particular, the use of tires featuring VF technology allows us to work at lower inflation pressures, contributing to a significant reduction in fuel consumption and, in turn, in operating costs," comments Boris Petkov, agricultural fleet manager at BG Agro for more than a decade. "Not to mention the durability of the products, which has a positive impact on replacement and maintenance, resulting in significant time savings."

Outstanding among the BKT solutions currently employed by BG Agro are products from the AGRIMAX tire range. The farming company uuses AGRIMAX SPARGO and AGRIMAX V-FLECTO for several soil tillage applications, especially thanks to their excellent traction and reduced soil compaction: the latter feature, in particular, helps increase crop productivity and the overall land yield. AGRIMAX V-FLECTO is also appreciated for its durability and its ability to ensure optimal performance even at lower inflation pressure (compared to a standard tire), both in field applications and in transport operations.

For row crop, sowing, and spraying operations, instead, BG Agro has chosen AGRIMAX RT 855 and AGRIMAX RT 945, appreciated for their comfort and excellent traction, as well as their incredible self-cleaning capabilities that exceed expectations.

"Among the reasons that increasingly convince us to choose these tires, undoubtedly, are the enormous advantages in terms of cost and time optimization. In addition, BKT solutions help us achieve our operational goals in an efficient, reliable, and sustainable way, perfectly matching our corporate values," concludes Boris Petkov.

Yet, the bond uniting these two companies, BKT and BG Agro, is much deeper and extends far beyond agricultural practice: it tells a story of the great value placed on tradition, but also of the determination to believe in the potential of agriculture, seeing it as an opportunity for growth and a driver of innovation, especially for future generations.
