Mickey Thompson partners with ROUSH on Ford F-150s
Ohio-based Mickey Thompson has become the official tire and wheel partner of aftermarket product company ROUSH Performance on its 2016 series F-150 pickup trucks.
The F-150 will now feature a set of ROUSH-M/T Metal Series 20-inch wheels and Mickey Thompson Baja ATZP3 all-terrain tires.
Announcing the deal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas last month, Mickey Thompson president Chris Barbara said the company was very proud of the connection because of the heritage of the two brands.

“Over the last few years we have developed some ROUSH relationships and we never found the right opportunity to formalize that relationship (but) this was the perfect chance for us to formally link two iconic brands in the U.S. and global automotive market — with Jack Roush and Mickey Thompson, the man,” he said.
“We see this as the launching point, this is not the culmination of our relationship with ROUSH Performance; we’re highly interested in continuing to grow that relationship.
“This should be the tipping point of having these two brands together on multiple platforms on multiple vehicles.
“We definitely have a lot of work to do to earn that spot, but we know the product we have put on this truck is going to prove our capabilities so that these two brands can stay together in the marketplace for many years down the road.”
Mickey Thompson’s Baja ATZP3 specially designed for ROUSH
The specially designed Baja ATZP3 combines Mickey Thompson’s T4 chip-resistant tread compound with PowerPly sidewall construction, beefy tread blocks and an extra-wide footprint to create a tough all-terrain tire that’s perfect for off-road use while also delivering a smooth ride on the street.
The wheels feature an eight-spoke, matte black design with a milled lip and branded pop-top center cap. It has been customized with the ROUSH branding but is essentially the off-the-shelf product.
The ROUSH F-150 includes a host of body components and graphics, a ROUSH side-exit exhaust system and a FOX 2.0 Performance Series suspension system, as well as molded front and rear floor liners from WeatherTech, a three-year/36,000-mile warranty and more.
