Klipboard, a provider of industry-specific business software, has introduced Autowork, a cloud-based shop management platform for independent, single-location automotive repair shops, service centers and tire businesses.

The company announced the platform in a release dated September 2026 from Cary, North Carolina. Klipboard also offers Autowork One, an enterprise platform that it says is used by large tire and service networks in North America.

What the platform includes

According to Klipboard, Autowork combines appointments, jobs, customers, vehicles, parts, inventory, tires and invoicing in a single system. Users can manage customer and vehicle records, shop schedules, work orders, technician allocation and invoicing, along with parts catalog access, supplier pricing and availability, parts ordering and inventory management.

The company says the parts catalog is built into Autowork rather than accessed through a third-party tool. For tire businesses, Klipboard says the platform includes tire lookup, quoting, fitted pricing and supplier integration, and that vehicle and technical information can be accessed as part of shop processes.

Klipboard says Autowork also includes an AI-assisted scheduling feature that helps users identify appointment openings without working through the shop schedule manually, and that it sees further uses for AI in the platform.

“Automotive businesses need technology that makes running their operation easier, not just more technology,” said Dean Petrone, CEO North America at Klipboard. “That’s what we’re setting out to achieve with Autowork.”

Adding connected tools

Autowork connects with other Klipboard automotive products, such as eCommerce and payments, which the company says businesses can add as their requirements change. Klipboard says Autowork One is available for businesses that grow into multiple locations, fleet and national account programs, or centralized pricing across a network.

“A shop shouldn’t have to buy everything on day one, and it shouldn’t have to start again with another provider every time it needs something new,” Petrone said. “With Autowork, businesses can start with what they need and add more from Klipboard as they grow.”

The company says ease of adoption was a focus in developing Autowork, which pairs a web-based interface with setup and onboarding intended to help shops get started and make the system easier for teams to learn.
