Hunter Engineering has received three 2026 PTEN Innovation Awards and one PTEN People’s Choice Award, recognizing its Road Force WalkAway wheel balancer, its Inspection Live software and its Hunter University training platform.

The PTEN Innovation Awards recognize companies whose new tools and equipment help automotive repair professionals, with winners picked by a third-party judging panel of technicians and shop owners. Readers of PTEN Magazine then vote for the People’s Choice Awards.

The winning products

In the Tire & Wheel Service category, the award went to the Road Force WalkAway, an autonomous wheel balancer that moves tire inflation onto the balancer itself. Hunter says the design cuts four-tire door-to-door changeover times by up to 44%.

Inspection Live won in the Inspection Tools & Lab Scopes category. According to Hunter, the cloud-based software for its autonomous inspection system lets two service lanes run from a single console and delivers over-the-air updates as they become available.

Hunter University, which brings Hunter’s online and in-person training content together on one global platform, won in the Training category. It was also voted a winner in the 2026 PTEN People’s Choice Contest, which the company says is the platform’s fifth award since it launched in 2024.

Hunter said it has received 17 PTEN awards over the past four years.
