Here’s how Alliance is changing tire ordering for good

Alliance Tire Group (ATG) has launched a new suite of digital tools for its website that is revolutionizing the way tire dealers order online. Here’s how they are doing it.

Powerful new features for easier ordering

ATG’s upgraded online system is designed to streamline ordering from the global off-the-road tire manufacturer’s extensive catalogue and help tire dealers manage their inventory more quickly, efficiently and easily.

It allows tire dealers to build orders by weight for freight discounts, use a shopping cart to assemble orders over time and check inventory in any of ATG’s five warehouses serving the U.S., Canada, and Latin America, in real time.

To save time, there are features like the ability to duplicate previous orders, quick access to frequently purchased items through a “Saved Items” list, and a “Quick Cart” feature that allows users to build and purchase quick stock orders. There are also upgrades to tracking invoices and shipments. Alliance, Galaxy and Primex dealers can generate and print quotes and use the improved search function to quickly bring up details on any tire while their customer is with them.

“We wanted to take the website to the next level,” said vice president of aftermarket sale Dhaval Nanavati. “The biggest advantage is being able to physically monitor inventory in real time; we have 2000-plus tire dealers in the U.S. and now all of them have online real time access, which is time-saving and efficient.

“Instead of calling our sales team and having them check the inventory, then order it, dealers can just hop onto the online system and do all of that, so that speeds up process, helps them focus on their customer and gives them more accurate information.” Nanavati said the initial response to the new online features has been very positive. “Our customers are liking what they’re seeing,” he said.

“We have more than 2,000 SKUs for our channel partners to choose from, and we have been committed to streamlining the process that allows each customer to order exactly what they need right from their desktops,” said vice president of marketing Bruce Besancon.

“Our dealers and distributors are specialists in challenging and highly technical markets, including agriculture, forestry, construction, materials handling and other industrial uses. ATG develops purpose-built tires for those very specific demands. With Online ATG, we have a tool that allows dealers to easily find, combine, and order the exact tires they need to serve their customers — any time of the day or night.”

More online features still to come

However, that’s not the only big-impact change ATG has in store. More digital tools will be added in the next month or two, including one that will enable customers to build container orders online and order direct from ATG’s factories, and a mobile warranty app. Using the app customers can upload the data and a picture of the tire and ATG will start processing the warranty. ATG believes it is one of the first companies to do this.

“How can we create exceptional customer service and how can we make it easy for our customers? That’s our whole mantra,” Nanavati said. “This is a continual process for us; we will always be updating our online systems and moving with the times and we want our customers to know that we will continue to work hard to make these kind of improvements so it is always easy to do business with us.”

ATG has been producing OTR tires for more than 60 years and today engineers and manufactures more than 2,000 different tires for agricultural, forestry, industrial and OTR applications for more than 120 countries.

The new online ATG ordering site is now live for Alliance, Galaxy and Primex dealers. For more information email or visit the website.
