Hankook Tire to supply UHP tires for Audi Sport Driving Experience

Hankook Tire announced it will supply its ultra-high performance (UHP) racing tires to support Audi’s Sport Driving Experience, the company’s large scale driving experience event for customers set to be held from May 28 to June 6 at Inje Speedium in Gangwon Province, South Korea.

The company has been supplying its original equipment (OE) tires for various models from the premier German automotive brand including Audi A3 and A4 sedans, premium sport utility (SUV) vehicles including Audi Q3, Q5, Q7, SQ7, Q8 and SQ8 as well as Audi RS lineup that include Audi RS Q8, RS7 Sportback, RS6 Avant, RS4 Avant, and RS5 Coupe and TT RS.

Sooil Lee, President and CEO of Hankook Tire & Technology, says “Hankook has already built a long tradition of supplying original equipment for Audi’s world-famous cars. We are glad to be able to support Audi’s such a large-scale event in Korea. With our tires, Hankook wants to help customers experience Audi’s performance to the full extent.”

At Audi Sport Driving Experience, Audi Korea plans to accommodate over 1,000 customers and offer an opportunity to drive Audi’s high-performance vehicles on the racetrack. Participants will be able to experience the powerful performance of Audi’s flagship models including the fully electric Gran Turismo, Audi e-Tron GT and its high-end model Audi RS e-Tron GT. Audi RS7, a high-end model from high-performance lineup RS series as well as Audi RS Q8 and Audi SQ8 from its high-performance SUV lineup are also among the vehicles that will be available to test drive.

All the vehicles will be equipped with either Hankook’s flagship racing or ultra-high performance tires. Ventus F200, for example, is a racing slick tire for a dry surface featuring excellent grip, handling performance and durability. Ventus S1 evo3 and Ventus S1 evo3 SUV provide quietness, comfortable ride, outstanding steering, stable grip as well as strong braking performance on wet surfaces.
