Tire makers, automakers and materials specialists will gather in Stuttgart, Germany, on Nov. 2–3 for the 2nd European Tire Innovation Summit 2026, a two-day forum focused on where tire technology goes next as vehicles become more electric, more connected and more software-driven.
Organized by ECV International, the summit will be held both in person and online, giving attendees who can't travel to Germany a way to follow the program.
The event is built around a simple idea: as the only part of a vehicle that touches the road, the tire plays an outsized role in performance, safety and environmental impact, and that role is growing as the industry shifts toward electrification and intelligent mobility.
What's on the agenda
The program brings together leaders from automotive OEMs, tire engineering, materials science and corporate strategy to look at the latest advances in tire innovation and the paths toward more sustainable products. Featured topics include:
Tires for software-defined vehicles (SDVs) and the technical trends shaping them
OE tire strategy from an automaker's perspective
The evolution of TPMS from simple pressure detection to intelligent monitoring
Recycled and bio-based materials for more sustainable tires
Smart, connected tires and what they mean for the road ahead
Virtual modelling technologies for smart tires
Optimizing tire NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) performance in electric vehicles
Steel reinforcement for tire durability
Discussions will also cover tire designs for electric and hybrid platforms, advanced tire simulation and digital modelling, and tire recycling and the circular economy.
Who should attend
The summit is aimed at a wide cross-section of the mobility value chain, including OEMs, automotive component suppliers, fleet management and operations, R&D teams, regulatory and compliance specialists, materials science and engineering, digital twin and simulation technology, supply chain and logistics, autonomous and ADAS vehicle development, recycling and circular economy, and smart and connected vehicle programs. Acoustics and vibration engineering, along with sustainability and environmental impact, round out the list.
