First Bridgestone store opens in Puerto Rico
Bridgestone has opened its first branded store in the growing market of Puerto Rico.
The new service center will offer a comprehensive suite of services in a single location, including tires, automotive services and auto parts. It is the seventh specialized center in Bridgestone’s Family Channel network on the island but the first to carry the exclusive Bridgestone name.
The Bridgestone Store is located in the financial commercial corridor in the city of San Juan and reflects the importance of the growth of the Puerto Rican market in the region. It was opened in alliance with Correa Tire Distributors — one of the largest importers on the island and Bridgestone's tire distribution business.
State-of-the-art facilities
The 12,000 square feet Bridgestone store has state-of-the-art facilities with the latest technology in equipment and a complete line up of high-performance tires for passenger and SUVs.
The center provides tuning, mechanical services, change of distribution belts, water pumps composure, change of oxygen sensors and dampers. It also offers brakes replacement and adjustment, suspensions, battery verification, sale and installation of tires, alignment, balancing, oil change, and preventive maintenance.
“At Bridgestone, we are proud to celebrate the opening of this important service center in Puerto Rico, which represents the largest market in Central America and the Caribbean region,” said President of Bridgestone Latin America North, Daniel Benvenuti.
“Through the establishment of positive purchase experiences and the development of innovative technology that strengthens our position as worldwide leader in tire manufacturing, we are following our mission to serving society with superior quality.”
Entering a growing market
Correa Tire Distributors is well-established in Puerto Rico and was founded in 1978 when it began its retreading operations of passenger and light truck tires. As a distributor, it also sells tires to the commercial, industrial, agricultural and government sectors.
Correa Tire Distributors President Josué Correa said the alliance was “committed to creating a new standard of services in the tire industry, investing to continue to provide Puerto Ricans with the highest quality products and services within a very innovative model.”
For Bridgestone, the new store signals increased presence in a prosperous and growing market.
“This area represents the largest vehicle fleet in the High Performance and Ultra High Performance segments,” said Bridgestone Costa Rica Country Manager Erick Herrera.
“With the opening of this Service Center we aim to increase market share and sustain our growth as the most important tire company in the country and the region.”
