Advanced technology for reliable performance
Bridgestone’s Blizzak LM005’s outstanding features and performance is the result of the latest in tire engineering.
With its low rolling resistance and fuel consumption, as well as its low tire and road noise, the Blizzak LM005 is also a more sustainable choice for customers. The energy efficient tyre not only benefits the driver in terms of mileage and cost-savings, but also means fewer emissions are released. These environmentally-friendly features were recognized by the ADAC, who awarded the Blizzak LM005 excellent ratings for its low rolling resistance and fuel consumption.
A focus on customer needs
During the development of the Blizzak LM005, Bridgestone surveyed 20,000 of motorists across Europe on their requirements for a premium touring winter tire and the challenges they face in everyday use. The findings were clear: they expect a tire that combines excellent control in the wet with strong performance on snow and ice. Bridgestone’s Blizzak LM005 meets all these requirements, with excellent braking on snow and on dry and wet roads, and has already won several awards in independent tests in 2019.
Bridgestone’s Blizzak LM005 tire was tested by ADAC on the VW Golf GTI with 205/55 R16 fitments, a dimension fitted in many of the most popular car models on the market.
The Blizzak LM005 is currently available in 171 dimensions for passenger cars and SUV/4x4s from 14 to 22 inches. Bridgestone’s innovative DriveGuard Run Flat technology has been integrated into 24 high-demand dimensions (16 to 18 inches) of the Blizzak LM005 to counteract sudden tire damage, allowing vehicles to continue driving for up to 80 km at a maximum speed of 80 km/h in the event of a puncture.
