When developing the new MF 7S Mark 2, Massey Ferguson set BKT a very specific challenge: identify a tire solution that could support the tractor’s performance while remaining fully aligned with its technical architecture.

The target was to go beyond the conventional rear tire diameter of around 1.93 m and reach a 2.0 m configuration, without compromising the tractor’s engineering constraints or the correct balance between rear and front axle fitment.

BKT responded by developing three new AGRIMAX V-FLECTO VF tire sizes specifically tailored for Massey Ferguson:

VF 650/70 R 42 rear tire
VF 710/60 R 44 rear tire
VF 600/65 R 30 front tire

Together, these sizes make two world-premiere tire combinations available for the MF 7S Mark 2. In both cases, the rear tire is paired with the VF 600/65 R 30 front tire, selected to maintain the correct fitment balance and make the most of the new rear dimensions.

This is more than a standard tire supply arrangement. The new combinations were developed around the tractor’s architecture, power range, typical applications and expected field performance.

The VF 650/70 R 42 rear tire, combined with the VF 600/65 R 30 front tire, provides a versatile setup for farmers and contractors working across different applications. With its 2.0 m rear diameter and balanced 650 mm width, it is intended to support a large footprint, good maneuverability and efficient performance in plowing, transport and daily field operations.

The VF 710/60 R 44 rear tire, also combined with the VF 600/65 R 30 front tire, is the most distinctive configuration in the project.

By introducing an industry-first VF 710/60 R 44 rear tire size in this tractor category, the solution is designed to support a large contact area, low-pressure field work and strong stability, especially in demanding applications, on slopes and during transport.

The match between the MF 7S Mark 2 and the new AGRIMAX V-FLECTO combinations is also clear from a design perspective. The updated sidewall gives the tire a more technical and purposeful appearance, in line with the tractor’s own visual identity.

Both combinations move in the same direction: a larger footprint, improved traction potential, reduced soil impact and better operating efficiency.

For BKT, the project confirms the role of tires as an integral part of tractor performance. Diameter, footprint, inflation pressure, traction, rolling resistance and stability all influence how effectively a tractor works in the field and on the road.

Beyond engineering, the project also reflects a strong focus on design. The new AGRIMAX V-FLECTO sidewall, designed in collaboration with Pininfarina, contributes to a tire that combines technical performance with a distinctive visual identity, complementing the bold and purposeful design language of the MF 7S Mark 2.

On the MF 7S Mark 2, the new AGRIMAX V-FLECTO setup supports the 2.0 m rear tire configuration by combining lower-pressure operation, a large footprint, traction and stability across demanding field and transport applications.

AGRIMAX V-FLECTO has also received the DLG-APPROVED quality mark in specific tested sizes for the test modules “Resources Protection” and “User friendliness”, supporting the performance credentials of the pattern in relation to soil preservation, fuel saving and user-oriented operation.

With the MF 7S Mark 2 project, BKT and Massey Ferguson have transformed a specific engineering requirement into a tire solution that combines engineering excellence, performance and design, demonstrating the value of early OEM collaboration in product development.
