Atturo Tire has introduced the Trail Blade AT2, an all-new all-terrain tire that replaces the original Trail Blade A/T. Built around an exclusive Atturo tread pattern, the AT2 brings improvements in design and performance while keeping the value positioning that has made the Trail Blade family popular with drivers and dealers.

The Trail Blade AT2 will be offered in 29 sizes for 15- through 20-inch wheels, in both LT and standard constructions. Dealers and industry professionals can see the tire for the first time at the SEMA Show, at Atturo booth #44113 and in the SEMA New Product Showcase.

Measured gains over the Trail Blade A/T

According to Atturo, the AT2's wet grip performance moves up three full grades in standardized European performance testing, which the company says means stronger wet-weather traction and braking. External rolling noise falls from 73 dB to 72 dB, lowering measured road noise for a more comfortable drive.

Atturo achieved those gains while holding the same rolling-resistance rating as the previous Trail Blade A/T, thanks to an improved and refined tread compound. The company says this contributes to the tire's suitability for hybrid and EV vehicles. Snow traction has also been improved, and the Trail Blade AT2 carries the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) designation for severe snow service.

An entirely new tread design

Rather than a light refresh, Atturo developed a completely new tread intended to deliver the traction expected of an all-terrain tire while improving refinement on the highway. Key design elements include:

  • Multiple biting edges for added traction in dirt, mud, gravel and sand.

  • A variable-pitch tread design engineered to reduce noise.

  • 3D full-depth jagged sipes that maintain snow and wet traction throughout the usable tread life, down to 5/32-inch tread depth.

  • Wide tread channels to clear water, slush and mud from the contact patch.

  • Updated sidewall styling following Atturo's knife-blade-inspired design for a more contemporary, aggressive look.

The new tread also delivers longer tread life, backed by an improved 55,000-mile tread-life warranty.

Performance Within Reach

The original Trail Blade A/T established an important place in Atturo's lineup by giving drivers capable all-terrain performance at an attainable price. With the Trail Blade AT2, we wanted to improve the things drivers experience every day — wet traction, snow performance, noise, tread life and appearance — without losing the value that defines the Atturo brand.

— Michael Mathis, President, Atturo

Atturo says the result reflects its Performance Within Reach philosophy: measurable performance improvements and distinctive design at a price accessible to everyday drivers.

The Trail Blade AT2 will begin arriving at Atturo dealers in January. More information on the tire, and on becoming an Atturo dealer, is available from Atturo Tire.
