Exclusive: The tire chosen for Transformers’ Bumblebee
He might be called Bumblebee but the world’s most famous Chevrolet Camaro chooses an Eagle when it comes to tires.
Traction News can confirm that, yet again, the filmmakers behind the Transformers franchise have chosen Goodyear Eagle F1 tires to keep the movie’s four-wheeled stars on the road.
The fifth Transformers movie, The Last Knight, is currently filming in the British capital of London, where Bumblebee has delighted locals and tourists alike by shooting a chase scene past iconic landmarks including Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. Traction News spotted the 2016 Custom Chevy Camaro outside the Queen’s London residence on Sunday.
Goodyear Eagle F1 chosen for Transformers star
Directed by Michael Bay, The Last Knight stars Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Anthony Hopkins, Tyrese Gibson and Stanley Tucci. It has been filming around the United Kingdom this past month, including scenes in the famous university city of Oxford.
It’s not the first time the Transformers filmmakers have relied on the Eagle F1 and it’s active Active CornerGrip technology — they also featured in the last Transformers film, Age of Extinction.
The Last Knight is expected in cinemas mid-2017.
