As part of its ongoing commitment to safety and training, Titan International partnered with the Tire Industry Association (TIA) to provide advanced ag and OTR service training to Titan dealers July 12 -16.
The ag sessions were hosted at Titan’s training facility in Boone, Iowa, and the OTR sessions took place at Stellar Industries in Garner, Iowa. Both ag and OTR sessions included a mix of classroom and hands-on training. Courses were taught by Matthew White, director of tire service for TIA.
“At Titan, safety and proper training is our top priority,” said Paul Hawkins, vice president, aftermarket sales at Titan. “Through partnerships with TIA we can help equip our dealer network with the best resources to do their job safely while also providing the best service possible to customers.”
After the week-long training session, attendees received course participation. To finalize the TIA certificate of completion, participants were required to complete additional testing and submit approval from management at their respective dealerships.
“We are happy we could lend a hand with the Tire Industry Association training class again this year,” said Travis Glidden, with Stellar Industries and OTR Tire Service Instructor. “We’ve been assisting the TIA by being a host facility since 2016 and have seen the value in advanced hands-on farm/Ag and earthmover tire service training for tire technicians. It’s amazing seeing a technician’s demeanor from the first day of class to the last day change with renewed enthusiasm about their career and how excited they are to put this new knowledge to use.”
In addition to the TIA training sessions, Titan supports dealer training through its annual Titan University program. Learn more about the 2021 Titan University program. Details about the 2022 program will be announced in the coming months.
