SEMA: Maxxis unveils tougher, re-engineered RAZR MT

Maxxis’ has released a new RAZR MT with an improved off-road compound.

On show at SEMA in Las Vegas this week, the mud terrain tire has been re-engineered with know-how gained from the manufacturer’s involvement in off-road racing.

The tire features a new off-road compound with new chemical fillers for maximum tear and chip resistance as well as tread life. Maxxis’ dual-cord casing ply features intertwined reinforcement fibers, dramatically improving casing strength for superior durability and toughness.

The new pattern features deeply sculpted center blocks that maximize mud traction, while the stone and mud ejectors improve self-cleaning performance and minimize rock retention.

The RAZR MT has become popular because of its durability in rugged terrain, including great traction and a quiet ride. The redesigned tire has what Maxxis is calling “a cool sidewall, for an attractive look.” It comes with a 40,000 mile warranty.
