Omni United has released 18 additional sizes in its recently introduced Renegade A/T 5 range.
The range expansion means the all-terrain tire is available in rim diameters from 15-inch up to 22-inch. These new additions will be available in metric and flotation sizes in 17, 18, 20, and 22 inches and overall diameter up to 37 inches. The tires will be available for consumer purchase from September 2016.
The Radar Renegade A/T 5 will have a total of 67 sizes by 2016 and 21 of those will be Raised Outline White Letters. With the addition of the new sizes a total of 39 sizes are available now, with 18 additional sizes planned for market introduction next quarter of this year. The A/T 5 line carriers a UTQG of 500 AA and is backed by a 30,000 mile treadwear warranty.
A sophisticated but aggressive look
The Renegade A/T 5 was launched in May this year and is designed to perform dirt, mud and snow, while maintaining a quiet ride. It’s value segment tire but Omni United says it offers “very compelling performance attributes” including the brand’s Stone Ejector Technology, three-ply body construction and “a sophisticated but aggressive look.”
Omni United’s Stone Ejector Technology prevents stones from getting stuck in the grooves and drilling into the tire. The tires have a raised serration between the tread blocks that actively deforms when the tire is rotating, opening, closing and then releasing as the tire goes through the contact patch. This action helps to eject stones out of the tread pattern.
The body construction that adds a third layer of protection, designed to strengthen and stiffen the tire and reduce the risk of punctures in the sidewall and tread areas.
Enhanced stability in all types of terrain
Omni United says the wide center tread block provides “enhanced stability, handling and even treadwear in nearly all types of terrain”.
“In the last few months we have seen good uptake of the A/T 5 from the market and we want to make this product available to more and more customers by adding popular sizes. Our focus continues to be on building Radar to be a comprehensive range that dealers can come to as a one-stop-shop for their tire needs.” said GS Sareen, founder and CEO, Omni United.
