NHTSA announces recall of Kumho SOLUS KH16 Tires

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) published on their website that Kumho Tire USA is recalling certain Solus KH16 tires, size P225/65R17. The tire belts may separate under severe conditions.

Kumho says recall will affect 1,773 tires that were produced between March 26, 2017, and April 1, 2017.

Kumho will notify owners, and dealers will replace all affected tires, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notifcation schedule. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) campaign number for this recall is 18T004000.
