Analysis of more than 17.5 million posts has revealed the best time for businesses across 75 major industry sectors to post on social media.
Marketing analytics firm TrackMaven has released a “social media cheat sheet” recommending the optimal times and days for companies to post on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest.
The automotive industry was among those industries TrackMaven researched. So, the good news for tire dealers who use social media is, these are the best times and days to post to the various platforms:
TrackMaven’s research doesn’t break the “automotive” category down to make a specific recommendation for the tire industry but the research was based on the social media success of more than 17,700 brands. TrackMaven evaluated the best times to post based on the average number of interactions per post per 1,000 followers during each hour of the day and day of the week. So it’s probably the best general guide out there.
Do your own research
While general industry figures are a great place to start, it’s always best to look at your own figures and see when your posts have had the most success. Social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook come with analytic tools that tell you how many people saw it, liked it, engaged with it, shared it, and so on. These figures are an excellent guide for what works best for your specific business and your particular audience. So read your own analytics and let that guide you.
