SEMA: TireMaster POS goes mobile with Bolt On deal
TireMaster is going mobile after ASA Automotive Systems struck a deal with software company Bolt On Technology to make its point-of-sale software available on Android-enabled tablets.
Launching the deal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas last week, ASA president Ken Halle said bolting on Bolt On’s Mobile Manager Pro to TireMaster POS meant sales representatives would now be able to assist customers by looking up inventory, doing inspections, checking prices, creating estimates and even searching a customer’s history, wherever they are — be it in the shop, the parking lot, or out in the field.
“It’s literally a bolt-on to our product set that’s going to provide the excitement of mobility to many of our existing products and TireMaster,” Halle said.
Improve efficiency with mobility
“You’re going to improve efficiency and you’re going to be able to increase your profitability with these features.
“It offers many other great features like being able to make sure your customers are scheduled for their next oil change, a kiosk with self check-ins (for appointments and drop-offs) and being able to send customers pictures when you’re looking to get notification of approval of service work.”
Using Mobile Manager Pro dealers can also scan and decode VINs and communicate with technicians using a “team chat” feature built into the tablets and computers.
With the Welcome Station Kiosk, customers can add vehicles to their account, review and add pending services recommendations. It also includes weather alerts and climate-based service suggestions.
The product will be available in the next week or two. More information is available from the ASA website.
